League Profile

The Manitoba Major Soccer League (MMSL) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development of soccer in Manitoba. Founded in 1971 (formerly the Manitoba Central Soccer League and the Molson Super Soccer Alliance), the MMSL features the best men’s soccer in the province with over 85 teams and over 1900 players competing in nine men’s divisions from Premier to Recreational.

The MMSL is proud to have amongst its alumni members who have made impacts on the national level, as well as students who have earned athletic scholarships to play while pursuing post-secondary education. More importantly, since its inception, the MMSL has provided a safe and healthy activity for tens of thousands of players throughout the province, ensuring a competitive environment in the development of team skills while contributing to a healthy lifestyle.

The League is managed by a nine-member volunteer board, whose responsibility it is to develop and support the game within its jurisdiction, ensure fairness and accountability, and provide services to its member clubs. The League maintains a policy of zero tolerance of discrimination, harassment, and violence in any and all forms in the conduct of its operations.

The Board is additionally responsible for addressing issues that are of concern to the membership, and guaranteeing that League activities are conducted in a manner consistent with a democratically-established Constitution. The MMSL and its Board are also guided by the rules and regulations of the Manitoba Soccer Association and the Canadian Soccer Association.

To browse our archives of divisional standings since 1971 - including both the Manitoba Central Soccer League and the Super Soccer Alliance - as well as to see the standings of recent MMSL seasons, please visit our Archived History page on the website.
